When we launched GeekZone back in 2000, Jase created a logo for us:
I knew it was just a font with a few effects, but it captured our spirit, and I loved it, then and now.
The problem was, over the last nearly 15 years we couldn’t remember what the font was. I’ve changed computers probably at least a dozen times since then, and even the various font sites sites like Identifont and MyFonts could not identify the font from such a small sample of letters, so last night while drawing up a new letterhead, I found the WhatTheFont forum, where I could upload my image and crowdsource a bunch of font geeks and had an answer back in just 3 hours.
The font is called Westminster, and was included in Windows 98 and Windows 98 SE!
Problem solved
